Do not drag us into your election in Anambra – IPOB warns INEC

Ahead of the November 6 governor election in Anambra state, the leadership of the indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, warned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to stop dragging the group into the elections of the State.

IPOB leadership made this known in a statement signed by IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary Emma Powerful and forwarded to DAILY POST on Sunday.

The group said it had nothing to do with INEC, in particular to discuss the way forward to organize free, fair and peaceful / credible elections in said state.

The statement reads in part: “We the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) competently led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU wish to reiterate once again that we have nothing to do with INEC.

“We don’t know if INEC exists or not. We have nothing to do with the election that INEC is conducting, and we wonder why INEC would want to drag us into the election.

“INEC should face up to what is happening and leave IPOB alone. We have not had a dialogue with the Nigerian government and even less with INEC.

“We found the Nigerian police statement ludicrous that they would go to the Anambra state governor election on November 6 with 33,000 people and 8 helicopters to kill Igbo citizens that day.

“This statement by the Fulani controlled IGP police shows how ready they are to kill our people and also makes it clear that the Nigerian police and the Fulani cabal do not want the elections in Anambra to be held.

“We also want to record that the Nigerian police plan to deploy more than 33,000 police officers and three helicopters, among others in Anambra State for the election of the governor on November 6, is another ploy to kill more than Innocent Biafranais.

“This confirms our fears and previous reports that Fulani-controlled security agents have devised plans to use the elections to force more young people in Biafra to their untimely graves.

“We therefore wish to advise the Biafres in Anambra state to be very careful with this malicious plot and not to play their game,” the group said.
