Dunzo to conduct drone vaccine delivery trials
Trials to start September 20 in Vikarabad, Telagana and run until September 25
The Dunzo Med Air consortium will be testing drones for the Telangana government’s “Medicine from Sky” initiative from Monday.
As a result, drone delivery technology company ‘Skye Air’, which focuses on an end-to-end ecosystem for drone-based logistics, will lead it as part of the ‘Dunzo Med Air’ consortium led by the hyper local giant, ‘Dunzo Digital’.
Trials will begin on September 20 in Vikarabad, Telagana and run until September 25 in which several cases related to healthcare logistics will be demonstrated.

For its part, Skye Air said it would make around 50 flights, all delivering vaccines.
These BVLOS “Beyond Visual Line of Sight” trials will deliver vaccines up to 12 km within an expected time frame of 18 minutes.
Each drone will carry vaccines in temperature-controlled boxes.
